Why It Matters

A suspicious-activity report in Watauga, Texas, prompted a police response after a masked visitor approached a residence. Officers said their review found no evidence of a crime.

What Happened

Doorbell footage dated Oct. 18 showed an unidentified barefoot person wearing a Joe Biden mask and a shirt marked “FREEDOM.” The visitor approached the home, touched the camera twice and ate a banana through the mask.

Police responded at approximately 8:05 p.m. after the homeowner reported the activity. Officers reviewed the video and searched the neighborhood but found no sign of the person.

Police said no additional reports involving the visitor were made directly to the department, and officers had not identified related incidents. The visitor’s identity and reason for wearing the mask remain unknown.

Watauga police urged residents to report concerning behavior rather than confront people. “The department also reminds the public that behavior perceived as threatening can lead to dangerous confrontations, potentially resulting in serious injury,” police said.
